The Luzia House is best suited for remote workers, digital nomads, and people on Workations or longer vacation stays who value comfort, privacy, and a calm atmosphere. It works well if you want a well-equipped home base close to the city, without living directly in busy tourist areas. It is not designed for party-focused or short weekend stays.
Is The Luzia House Coliving right for me?

Yes. The house layout, room setup, and guest profile make it easy to focus on work. Many residents work regular hours and treat Luzia House as their main work base while exploring Madeira in their free time.
Can I focus on work while staying here?

It is a balanced Coliving. Luzia House is social in a natural, low-key way, with shared meals or conversations happening organically, but it is not a party house and does not run scheduled events. Guests generally respect each other’s work routines and privacy.
Is this a social or a quiet Coliving?

Is The Luzia House walkable or do I need a car?

Daily life is very walkable, and many guests live here without a car. However, if you plan to explore more of the island, such as hikes, beaches outside Funchal, or scenic viewpoints, renting a scooter or car is recommended.
After you send an inquiry, we review your requested dates and a few basic details about your stay. If it’s a good fit and the room is available, you’ll receive further steps to secure your stay. Once the reservation is confirmed from both sides, we share practical information to help you prepare for your arrival.
How does the booking process work?

No, The Luzia House operates as a Coliving seasonally. From December to May, rooms can be rented separately as part of a small, work-friendly Coliving and Workation setup.
From June to November, the entire house is rented privately as one unit. During these months, it is ideal for families, friends, or groups who want the full house to themselves.
